    “We had a lovely weeks stay in Bardsea.”

    Cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. It is so cosy and felt like home . Great being next door but one to a lovely pub where we would go when we would get back from our days out. Would highly recommend .

The property

Ulverston 2 miles. 3 School View is a cosy terraced cottage situated in Bardsea, Cumbria. Internally, the property has been decorated with your comfort in mind. Boasting light walls, with touches of the countryside found throughout, including the stone wall features and exposed beams. The property opens up to a spacious lounge area, with a sofa and armchair. Relax and unwind in front of the TV, with the cosy woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chilly evenings. Step through to the kitchen area, with its cream units and wooden worktops offering plenty of preparation space for some home cooking, with a lovely breakfast bar. To the rear is a convenient conservatory area, which also acts as a dining area, with seating for four people to enjoy a family meal together. Or use the room as a quiet space and take advantage of the large sofa and curl up with a good book. Follow the steps to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms: one double and one single, with a separate family shower room, with all modern fixtures and fittings. There is roadside parking directly outside the property. To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden, with an extensive landscaped edges, full to bloom with beautiful flowers and plants and a spacious lawn. To the back is a snug patio area, with seating - a lovely spot to enjoy a morning cup of tea and watch the sunrise. With easy access into the town centre of Ulverston, you will not be short of things to do. The town features the Laurel and Hardy Museum, the world's only museum dedicated to the famous comedy duo. Everything you could ever want to know about these famous faces can be found inside - fans will love the collected memorabilia, including letters, photographs and personal items, as well as some furnishings. A wonderful attraction for families to visit. 3 School View is an attraction for those historic enthusiasts.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
