Cartmel 0.9 miles. Fern Lodge is a charming, detached lodge located on the outskirts of Allithwaite, close to Cartmel in Cumbria. Fern Lodge, perfect for a family of four, is situated in a quiet area while still being close enough to the Lake District National Park and its quaint towns and villages for day trips. Step inside to find yourself in a spacious open-plan living area bathed in light from the tall windows running the length of the room. Walk into the kitchen, a room designed with the avid cook in mind, complete with sleek grey cabinets for storage and an array of handy integrated appliances. When you've finished whipping up a delicious feast, tucking into the meal at the dining table. Head into the sitting area, where you can stretch out on the sofas and watch a movie on the Smart TV. There are two bedrooms available for guests to use when they retire for the night. The first features a king-size bed, built-in storage, vanity area, and it also has an en suite shower room, where a refreshing morning shower can be enjoyed; and the second twin beds. While the enclosed deck in the front yard is perfect for enjoying a meal in the sunshine, the rear patio is great for a soothing soak in the hot tub. The Pheasant Inn, a fantastic pub serving traditional ale, can be found in Allithwaite after a short stroll. Cartmel is a charming village with several restaurants, shops, and the world-famous Cartmel Racecourse. Grange-over-Sands is up next; it's a seaside town perfect for strolling the promenade, playing a round of golf at the local club, or spending a lazy afternoon picnicking and strolling through the Ornamental Gardens. Stop by the well-known Holker Hall & Gardens to learn more about the area, or spend some time outdoors at the nearby Roudsea Wood & Mosses National Nature Reserve. You'll never run out of things to do thanks to the proximity of Grizedale Forest, the Lake District's iconic peaks, and its beautiful waters, as well as the attractions of the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
