Arrived to find the apartment dirty and unclean, items broken, not working, no hot water for a day,
childrens bedroom window would not shut or secure, and settee in disrepair. The apartment had not been maintained or cleaned, but that was only the start of my problems as the after care was even worse. I was informed that the owner had been notified once I reported the problems on the very first day (fri 4th) and was promised daily that cleaners would attend, but they did not come until Wednesday ...

The apartment had not been maintained or cleaned, but that was only the start of my problems as the after care was even worse. I was informed that the owner had been notified once I reported the problems on the very first day (fri 4th) and was promised daily that cleaners would attend, but they did not come until Wednesday 9th. We had to stay in first night so that mainentance could look at the hot water. It had been turned off at the mains so couldnt have a bath, or shower, or wash hands with warm water until the following day. It has also transpired looking at reviews of the property that the other issues i reported were known to the owner a couple of months before our stay so there is clearly no regard to resolve these before renting it out. I would be very concerned for people wanting to stay with young toddlers as the window in the spare room is dangerous especially as this is not ground floor accommodation.
