The apartment was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was well situated in a quiet location, within short walking distance to the centre of Bowness and about 20 mins to Windermere which made it ideal for reaching the ferry, pubs and amenities. A great base to explore the southern lakes.

Perfect in every way. Best by a distance we have rented. Sadly we will not return to the Lakes. Been coming for thirty years,now time to move on. Little points other visitors made. Out of date coffee by 2 years. Key pad not numbered which makes it awkward to find the right one as there is 3 key pads to choose from.

Margaret “Parnam is a lovely apartment in a great location, close to the heart of Bowness.”
It has a very nice modern kitchen and bathroom. The off street parking is also a bonus in such a busy town. There are a couple of small issues which could be addresed. Firstly, the curtains in the bedroom and living room need sorted, as they don't meet properly. Secondly a previous review mentioned there was no welcome pack, and this was supposed to have been sorted: well, all we got was a couple of tea bags and a coffee sachet that was two years out of date. Neither of these things affected our enjoyment of our holiday, and we would definitely return to Parnam in the future.

It’s location is within 10 mins walking to the centre passing numerous pubs, bars, restaurants and takeouts not forgetting the waters front. It’s ideally situated for exploring the greater areas. Private parking off the street. Really enjoyed our stay at Parnham and would stay there again.

Adrian “Very good accommodation in a fantastic position and added bonus of a parking space, in a quiet development near to bus stops, boats and walks.”
Could be absolutely fantastic with a few little adjustments: 1. First Sykes in ages where there has been no welcome pack of any sort, not even a small milk for a cup of tea after the journey. 2. Basic provisions, we were left with half an inch of washing up liquid, watered down hand wash, no extra bin bags, no bottle opener. 3. We like to give the place a good clean so it's as we found it when leaving but no dusters or surface polish found. Having said that we would be more than happy to stay again, hopefully the advice will be taken as constructive feedback! Thank you.

Helen “This is the second Christmas we've spent at Parnam, and our feedback is the same on the fridge.”
....there's a full sized freezer so why have a fridge also with an icebox??!! We really struggled on fridge space even on shopping for just 3 or 4 days worth of food. Also, it was iced up quite heavily at back so partially froze several items. Cleanliness wise - couldn't fault. Newly fitted bathroom is great. A foot stool to go with chair would be lovely (*we seem to recall there was one last year??) as I suffer from arthritis in my ankles - would have been nice to put feet up, literally, after walking! We will be choosing a different property in the area next year, simply because we want something ground level - those stairs are a killer when loading and unloading! Overall, a good property, good pricing, great location for walking into Bowness - we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and well equipped. We did have one small issue with the toilet flush handle. I called into the office in Windermere and the very pleasant staff said that this would be sorted. They offered to get it repaired straight away, and I said that they could do it at there connivence as it was not affecting our stay. I am sure this will be now rectified before next tenants arrive. All in all a great week in the lakes and we look forward to returning again and would not hesitate booking this accommodation again.

Bus stop at the end of the road. The only fault that we found was not enough cutlery and crockery to enable us to use the dishwasher. Really good to have parking in the Lake District.

Relatively minor issues which could be improved are that the bed quilt is heavy and hot, and nobody in the block could work out how to turn on the stairwell lights so a torch was needed after dark.

Paul “A spotlessly clean and modern apartment, comfortable bed and furishings, very well-equipped kitchen and the jacuzzi was very relaxing.”
Little touches like a small torch by the bed good supply of crockery and utensils all added to our stay. Small niggles. As an elderly dinosaur I couldn't get much out of the smart TV, and the stairwell lights never worked. That apart, we really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend.

Ian “The location of the property can't be better for anyone who wants to explore and enjoy a holiday of Lake District.”
It's easy to go by foot, car or bus. The facilities are very family-friendly to make us feel at home. The bed was comfortable and all devices are very easy to use. It's between two lovely villages: Windermere and Bowness, hence shopping/eating in a restaurant are both convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parnam!

The location is completely ideal with so much to explore by foot!!! We climbed the Brant Fell on our door step, walked to Hilltop, Hawkshead and Wray Castle, and climbed Orrest Head to follow the steps of A.W. All of these were with stunning, scenic nature around us. The facilities in the flat are convenient, comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed out time and felt at home. THANK YOU!

Useful to be close to town, shops, cinema etc as weather was wet almost all week. Had to buy some mugs, only 3 small mugs provided, otherwise equipment OK. No basic supplies - have welcome packs been banned. Will need to pack salt, pepper and vinegar plus washing up liquid etc next time I go away.

Loved the spar bath,great for relaxing at the end of a day of walking. Location was fantastic for getting around. A stones throw from all amenities. Bus stop a minutes walk( open top bus) for hop on-off. 5 minutes walk to cruise boats. Plenty of good restaurants. Couldn't fault any part of our holiday. Will most certainly be returning. Windermere Train Station 1.5 miles: Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 7 miles.
The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, cinema, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away.
