    “The heat g was not on when we arrived on Friday eve although info said it would be .”

    I was unable to ignite the boiler as there were no instructions so it was freezing until 36 hours later when another family member came to assist . No starter pack to light a log burner or fire as stated there would be . The tap in the kitchen leaked from the base all over the work surfaces when on. I have a video of it . There was no bin in the bathroom . It was a very basic property with only 7 mugs for a property for 10 people . 1 wine glass . No shade on the light bulb in the dining room ...

The mirrors in two bedrooms were not fixed to the wall just had to be lent against it which is dangerous with toddlers . Top bedroom full of cobwebs with items found on the floor between the two beds . Floors not particularly clean . Salad drawer in the fridge was dirty and had to be washed out . I feel we are due some compensation for this expensive property

Brough is a small town located in the Eden Valley, at the foot of the North Pennines, just four miles north of Kirkby Stephen and eight miles east of Appleby-in-Westmorland. It is a twin village, the southern part, Church Brough, lies on a former Roman road and was the setting for the Norman Brough Castle (once the site of a Roman camp), while the northern area, Market Brough, is sited on a medieval road.
