“We visited as a family of 8, between 1 year and 53 years, both male and female.”
Staying a week, we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather. The house is well situated on a small hill, with super views. The gardens are nice and child friendly. Over all we found the house poorly maintained and it could have been cleaner.
There were lots of cobwebs and the furniture is well worn. The kitchen has been very well used and its well past the stage that it should be upgraded. There was some Engagement confetti beside the TV unit, which I do not think was left there this month. When you sit on the upstairs toilet in the shower room, it slips to the side. General finishes around the showers, sinks and bath have mould and is coming away at parts.
The hot tub or should I say the hot bath, is like other things in the house past its best. Only one jet works, which means its more like a hot bath than a hot tub/spa.
The house is handy for all areas in the south of the Lake District, however, its a bit of a drive to Bowness and Windermere. The description mentions 15 minutes then 25 minutes, which may be achievable as the crow flies. However, on about three occasions the fastest it took us was 40 minutes.
