The property

This captivating contemporary Lakeland retreat sits in a residential location, a stone's throw from the heart of picturesque Windermere village providing a central and convenient hideaway for any special occasion.

Completed in traditional Lakeland barn style externally, in keeping with the locality, but step inside and you'll fall in love with this light and airy converted barn loft.

A plethora of old oak beams and a mix of carpeted and Amtico floorings contrast sumptuous, deep-cushioned furnishings and crisp traditional walls which carry throughout, the traditional woodburning stove provides for cosy nights in, cooks will be delighted in this state of the art kitchen, and the central location for easy eating out.

The stylish bedroom is complete with star gazing window and not forgetting the luxurious bathroom with designer slipper bath and separate monsoon shower cubicle, perfect for long soaks and invigorating hosings after a hard day on the fells. Accommodation in detail Open traditional entrance porch, entrance hallway with staircase to Hayloft.

This property is mostly open-plan throughout with windows all round, there are two living areas, one with woodburning stove and leather furnishings and the other designed for quiet reading.

Due to the converted loft there is restricted headroom in places.

The state of the art kitchen is open plan to the living area and provides everything you need all wrapped up in Granite.

The king size bedroom is full of light and space and even has a star gazing strategically positioned window.

Location Only a few miles from Lake Windermere itself, Windermere village is a charming and vibrant village at the heart of the Lakes.

Only a short drive from the M6, and with good train links from Oxenholme, couples can easily meet up here and will find the village a fantastic Lake District self-catering base for trips throughout the National Park.

The friendly village centre is a delightful community to settle into - tasty cafes, local shops, excellent Booths supermarket, traditional Lakeland pubs and plenty of picturesque Lake District walks from your door.

You must walk up Orrest Head during your stay; the views over Lake Windermere are spectacular. Walk or drive a few miles from your Windermere self-catering apartment, just down the road to Bowness, and you'll find even more to entertain - a wider range of restaurants, shops, pubs and trendy bars, plus the boating activity of Windermere lake shore.

Hayloft is situated in a convenient but cosy and romantic position above business premises.Why not take a cruise on the lake to Ambleside or Lakeside?
