    “En-suite bathroom was not very clean, toilet had stains toilet pan was filthy don’t know when it was last cleaned .”

    Shower drain was dirty with the shower silver plug was filthy also . Rail outside back door very unstable my husband almost fell when he first used it . Whilst sitting in the back garden at 8.50pm on Monday evening watching a very short video clip that had music we were told by the neighbour in the right hand side of the house to “ keep the bloody noise down as not everybody on holiday some people have to work”!!!! We were anything but noisy !! Yet we did hear her dog howling and barking on ...

    Thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry that your experience was not to the normal high standards we expect. I have raised the cleaning issue with Lakelovers and asked them to investigate why this happened. We have never had any cleaning complaints before and I'm sure we won't have any more going forward. I have also asked maintenance to investigate and resolve the loose railing. I am sorry you also had an issue with the neighbour. Obviously the house is in a residential area and we ask all guests to be mindful of this and generally have very few problems. Resting away from the bustling centre of Windermere is this quaint terraced property, Walker's Cottage, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Lake District National Park. Look forward to calling this quaint abode home, as you discover the delights of the town, the surrounding mountain fells and majestic lakes of the National Park with all of your loved ones around you. After an adventure-filled afternoon, look forward to coming back to the property and being welcomed into the spacious sitting room, where two plush sofas surround the TV and the gas fire, which offers a gentle warmth during the colder months. When you feel like trying your hand at a local delicacy or a family-favourite recipe, head into the kitchen, where a range of quality appliances are awaiting the chef of the group to rustle up something delicious. The property also comes with a handy dishwasher, and washer/ dryer. From here, venture up the stairs to find the family bathroom, boasting a shower over bath and the master bedroom, home to a plush king-size bed and a sleek en-suite shower room. Continue up the stairs to the second-floor, where you will find a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. Discover the largest lake within the National Park by climbing on board the Windermere Lake Cruise, offering a circular voyage whilst soaking up the views of the impressive mountains, the secluded bays and the wooded islands. Alternatively, brush up on the local history by visiting the World of Beatrix Potter before heading to the National Trust owned Hill Top, which was the former farmhouse of Beatrix Potter. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District.
