The property

La'al Riddings is a wonderful, reverse-level dwelling, sitting within a scenic position on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park.

Providing a romantic getaway for two, this stylish abode offers a wonderful base from which to discover both the countryside and coast.

On the ground floor of this contemporary delight of a holiday home you can find both the bedroom and the bathroom; boasting a bright and airy double bedroom with an accompanying gleaming bathroom, providing you with both a bath a shower over, this floor is the perfect space to catch up on your rest after a relaxing soak at the end of a fun-filled day.

Moving up onto the first floor you can find a wonderful spot from which to truly appreciate your surroundings, overlooking Coniston Old Man and Grisedale Forest, this cottage provides a delightful backdrop to all of your self-catered meals within the property, prepared in the amply-equipped kitchen.

Boasting an open-plan living space, further to the kitchen area with its neutral hues and good range of appliances, you will find a breakfast bar where you can sit and enjoy a home-cooked treat, alongside a sitting area where you can unwind into your evenings amongst the fire, as the television offers you entertainment.

The cottage can be found settled within the quiet village of Lowick Green, making a great spot for an idyllic escape with plenty of walking routes from your doorstep, or head further afield to Greenodd to find all of your local amenities at hand as well as the River Leven to take a leisurely stroll alongside.

A short, scenic drive will bring you to the foot of Coniston Water, or alternatively, head to Ulverston to find the Laurel and Hardy Museum and fantastic street markets and festivals.

Venture further into the National Park to find wildlife and scenery like no other, or embark on a journey to the coast of Barrow-in-Furness to find rich history and stunning architecture housing a wide range of attractions for all ages.

In the perfect spot for a scenic escape, La'al Riddings is a wonderful escape for your next trip to the Lake District.

About the location

ULVERSTON

Lake Windermere 10 miles; Coniston Water 11 miles.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
