“A lovely cosy place with a fabulous view and off road parking.”

Everything you need was provided in the well equipped kitchen. The place was spotlessly clean. Thank you to Kev who very quickly sorted out a very minor issue. I would definitely love to return.

“Lovely location, with the first floor living room giving wonderful views over Morecambe bay.”

Accommodation is clean and comfortable, with a good range of equipment. The binoculars are very welcome to watch the bird life in the bay. Parking at the rear of the property is best suited to a small vehicle with good ground clearance, but plenty of on road options at this time of year.

“Very tired property,cupboard full of owners old shoes in kitchen…boiler pipe work exposed in kitchen, failed ill fitting windows which lead to poor nights sleep when the weather was windy…no wardrobes only a few hooks on back of bedroom door so clothes unable to be hung up …property smelled of tobacco from flat downstairs …pillows flat ….”

Needs gutting and updating sorry worse property in 30 years of using holiday rentals wouldn’t go back for free we only stayed for 3 nights out of 6 nights

“The appartment was very well equipped and comfortable, it was clean and well furnished with everything we needed.”

The Location was perfect for us. We could walk straight to the beach and to either Morecambe or Heysham ( both about 1.5 miles away ) along the Promenade with our two dogs . The views from the bedroom and sitting room are lovely and the sunset was spectacular . The area is very quiet and peaceful , no traffic noise, just the gentle pad of walkers , runners and cyclist using the Prom’. The customer service was excellent, we were given the information on key collection and local attractions by text which was really helpful. We came to walk and enjoy the peace but there is a lot to do and see in the area within easy distance should you wish .

“This could be a really lovely flat but a few things need addressing.”

Fridge/freezer doors broken, unfinished areas in kitchen look scruffy, unpleasant smell in dishwasher. Wardrobe would be useful or maybe mention that you only have 2 hangers on hooks on bedroom door. Very awkward access to window side of bed. Blown double glazing spoils what is a lovely view. Uncomfortable pillows, we went out and bought some! Good point, Kevin responded quickly when we found a very rusty tin opener and scissors and brought new ones back. Just some TLC is needed to make the flat perfect.

“We had a fabulous week, weather, location and accommodation were loved it all.”

Heysham is a little gem and hopefully we will be back.Only one downside were the steps to the apartment were quite steep and one our dogs struggled. But apart from that we had a brilliant chilled out time.

“The Love Nest was a lovely place, the view was stunning especially in the evening as the sun went down, it had everything you needed and was immaculately spotless.”

The steps were a little steep at the front and the back but obviously you wouldn’t book it if you struggled with steps! There were 2 problems, 1 being the double glazing had blown in the living room and the big bedroom window which was a shame as it spoiled the view at times and the second being the horrendous smell of cigarette smoke. Being a non smoker it was very strong and made me feel sick during my stay. I did inform Kev who was lovely about it and very apologetic but there was nothing that could be done as it was a neighbour below. Other than that we had a lovely relaxing stay and some gorgeous walks. P.s The letter and chocolates from Kev were a really nice touch on arrival and very much appreciated.

“Apartment was very clean and in a great location.”

We enjoyed our 3 night break. We think an information pack would be an asset ( how to use the appliances and heating system and local information - nearest chemist, medical and veterinary practices etc.) Our other thoughts -the Tv. Chanel’s were internet based and felt free view channels should be available. For a 5 star rating on facilities the double glazed windows need maintenance .

“A great property which is immaculately clean and has all the required facilities.”

Just a couple of (only slightly) downsides . The stairs up to the accommodation were absolutely fine for us but could be difficult for elderly or not so able bodied people. Secondly, although we truly loved the apartment and the ease of parking, it’s just a shame that there are not more sociable spaces and shops slightly nearer. Apart from those 2 little things, this is a great place to stay. Communication from Kev who oversees access and any issues was first class. We would definitely recommend this property.

Strong smell of cigarette smoke on entering the property (from tenant ground floor) Enjoyed our stay despite the above. Kevin who met us there was very helpful.

“The apartment was beautifully decorated spotlessly clean & well presented the view of the sea from the lounge & bedroom would of been fantastic!”

unfortunately a recent storm had left the windows very dirty so the views could not be appreciated (cant control the weather) other than that the location was perfect. Ps the chocolates were well appreciated!

Hi Lynette. Thank you for the positive review - this makes our efforts worthwhile. We are blessed with a super house keeping team that keep the flat in a good state for our guests, whilst we are away. We love to stay at the flat, and for us the best bits are: the ever changing seascape views, and the absolutely glorious sunsets. We will never tire of them. So we are disappointed on your behalf that the dried salt spray marred the vista. A a hard working window cleaner comes monthly to clean the whole block. The flat is just too close to the beach! Had an issue with a neighbour and access, which was quickly resolved by kev who assists with the property kept in touch and thanked us with the patience with the neighbour. Couldn’t fault the property.

Heysham is a picturesque coastal village resting just a few miles from the town of Morecambe and the city of Lancaster. Woodland, open grassland and sandy beaches surround this village which houses a selection of shops, pubs, eateries and small businesses, offering something to suit all visitors. Brush up on the local history by spending time at the Heysham Heritage Centre, or if you are feeling adventurous, catch the ferry to the Isle of Man. Within striking distance is the larger town of Morecambe where you will find further amenities and attractions including the Eric Morecambe Statue and The Stone Jetty. Slightly further afield is the city of Lancaster, where you will find a medieval castle, four museums and Williamson Park which often hosts open-air concerts during the summer. Heysham is a peaceful base for exploring the area further.
