“These things have been mentioned in previous reviews but the issues have not been resolved.”

It is a beautiful property and is in an amazing location and it is such a shame that the cleanliness lets it down. The house requires a good deep clean. Greasy things covered in dust on kitchen work tops. Things which have not been cleaned properly in cupboards and drawers. Cobwebs internally and externally at the entrance area. I am not a big fan of all the instructions all over the house either. I believe that liquid soap should be available in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I know ...

I know in summer we should be able to rely on the sun to warm the property but with the aga not switched on and the central heating locked at 21.0c we were really cold on the first 2 nights of our stay so we reached for the wood to start a fire in the lounge but no started pack was left for us. So we had to make a trip to Barrow for fire wood and blankets, not ideal. Also in the kitchen lots of the mugs and plates have chips or glazing cracks. I have stayed in lots of rental properties and this one just felt a bit below par. I think every other one has provided at least a bottle of milk on arrival some have provided much more cakes wine chocolate and toiletries in the bathrooms. So in conclusion we enjoyed our stay but with these things attend to it would have been a truly remarkable experience.
