The property

Set in Chapel Stile - one of the most picturesque villages in the Lake District and the gateway to the Langdale valley, Mellbreak is superbly located, surrounded by fells such as Pike o'Blisco, Crinkle Crags, Bowfell and the craggy peaks of the Langdale Pikes rising at the head of the valley. Just a short walk away is Chapel Stile village, home to the well-known Wainwrights pub and with its well stocked village shop and popular Bramble's cafe . Walks for all abilities are a plenty and straight from the door. Accommodation: The usual entrance is via the back door where you can leave boots bikes and outdoor gear in the utility area, also on this level you will find a single en-suite bedroom (shower, basin, wc), before taking the open tread spiral stairs to the first floor. The good sized open plan living area has views across the road to neighbouring fields (TV, DVD, mini hi-fi with bluetooth, electric fire). The fitted kitchen area creates an L-shape with the sitting room, ideal for family socialising whilst meals are being prepared. Broad spiral stairs to the upper floor access the two bedrooms (one double and a twin room). Family bathroom is newly fitted (P-bath with shower over, basin and wc) . The cottage is comfortable in all seasons with decor in tasteful neutral colours and fitted carpets throughout. Outside : Parking behind the cottage for one car. A second car can usually be accommodated adjacent to the first parking place. Safe bike storage in integral garage. A small area to the front of the cottage provides outside seating to take in the tranquillity of Chapel Stile. A few hundred yards to shop and pub at Chapel Stile. Bus route passes the door. Note: Payphone.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
