    “The property is very well located within walking distance of local shops.”

    The private parking facility is much appreciated in a busy tourist area of Windermere. The cleanliness and facilities provided are very good. A downside to the apartment is its 1st floor location immediately above the automated gates to the car park as the noise can be heard each time they open and close.

The property

Located just paces away from the delightful town centre of Windermere and the glorious lake is the superbly appointed 1st floor apartment, Newlands. Newlands is perfect for those in pursuit of an action-packed break to this part of the National Park, or those wanting a more peaceful time close to stunning lakes and mountains. This sleek, stylish apartment has been designed to offer a base for you and your family or friends to explore this picturesque landscape of the Lake District National Park. Head up to the apartment and relax into your evening within the open-plan living room, which has contemporary interior design with large windows that flood in natural light and offer a pleasant outlook.

The kitchen is fitted with quality appliances, complete with ample preparation space and a breakfast bar with stools. There are 2 bedrooms; one is a double and the other a twin which has zip/link beds for you to request a king size bed if required. Windermere town centre is only a short 2 minute walk away, where you will find a range of places to eat as well as grocery and independent shops. The shores of Lake Windermere offer many viewpoints and it is worth walking up to Orrest Head which has stunning panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, including the glorious Langdales. A Windermere Lake Cruise is considered to be the most popular attraction within the National Park, where you can hop on board a historic steamer and enjoy a circular trip as you visit secluded bays and the many wooded areas.

Other attractions within the immediate area include The World of Beatrix Potter, Holehird Gardens, Brockhole Visitor Centre, and Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's rural farmhouse. For those who are keen walkers, look forward to climbing the Claife Heights, the Langale Pikes, Helvellyn, The Old Man of Coniston, or travel further afield to climb the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike.

There are also many beautiful low level walks in the surrounding areas to enjoy.

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
