Step indoors, hang up your coats and store your shoes, before making your way to the fully-equipped kitchen, where the chosen chef of your group can rustle up delicious meals to be enjoyed on the beautiful live edge oak banquet table in the dining room; throw open the patio doors and take to the balcony, overlooking the rear courtyard, designed for alfresco dining, socialising and sunny barbecues.
On cooler evenings, light the woodburning stove and spend time in the stylish sitting room, complete with plush corner sofas, lofty A-framed ceilings, and a selection of games to keep the whole family entertained; for a quiet nook, locate the first-floor snug, where you can escape from the rest of the home with a glass of wine.
Travel down to the lower-ground-floor where you'll find a handy utility, drying room, and private gym, along with a cloakroom, shower room and twin bedroom, two king sized rooms and a super king to chose from.
On the ground floor you'll find a super-king-size room along with two shower rooms.
Head up to the first floor and you'll locate a further two twin rooms, a bathroom and a shower room, two super-king-size and a single.
With stunning views to be enjoyed from most rooms, truly escape to the Cumbrian countryside, with plenty of rural walking and cycling trails to be experienced from your doorstep, including those of the Great Asby Scar National Nature Reserve.
Cool off with a dip in the waterfall, where you'll also find the opportunity to wildlife spot and feel at one with nature, with red squirrels and kingfisher recognised a some of the most iconic.

A sensational house in a simply beautiful location.
The outside space, plus the sauna and hot tub were the focal point of our stay - with a brave few even cold plunging in the river. Then the bar/living room was the perfect room for our evening entertainment, and the enormous TV came into its own for a 2am England game! In addition, Sarah, our host, was tremendously accommodating and welcoming. Our party enjoyed a magnificent weekend.
We stayed at The Waterfall Retreat to celebrate my 70th birthday with our party comprising of 12 adults and 7 children / infants.
Waterfall offered our party first class accommodation and was fully equipped to meet all of the requirements of a large party with age ranges between 70 and 0.The quirky layout provided endless places to hide and play whilst the pizza oven hosted a pizza competition which was won by yours truly. Outdoor pursuits consisted of plunges in the falls followed quickly by the sauna and hot tub. For the more athletic amongst us early morning runs in the amazing countryside were an absolute must (so I am told!!). A super location for a large gathering which ticks all of the boxes.

!! What an amazing house. We visited waterfall retreat for my sisters 40th birthday and it did not disappoint. The space was exactly what we needed for a girly weekend with all the family. The waterfall was gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. And what a cosy fun space on the living room for us to settle down and relax. We all did say that we would have liked more lighting outside near the hot tub and also better lighting in the bathrooms as when it got darker it was difficult to put your makeup on properly. But if all I’ve got to complain about is lighting then we left very happy. Would love to return
