    “This is a lovely house.”

The bedroom is very large with plenty of wardrobes and drawers and the bed very comfortable. Really nice hot showers and quality fittings through out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Also there is wifi and nice tv set up. Outside a huge shared garden which the dog loved. The only disappointment for me was the hot tub which seemed like too much effort to light (mind you it was snowing while we were there). A heated hot tub with jets would have make it perfect for us

Hello John, Thanks for your feedback. Most of our guests enjoy the experience of being outside in the beautiful garden and lighting the burner. Then after a little effort they can enjoy the fruits of their labour. A jet spa requires the use of chemicals. We are trying to be more eco-friendly so don’t use chemicals and electricity to heat the tub. I appreciate it’s not for you. All the best, Kate. Property Owner

About the location

POOLEY BRIDGE

Penrith 6 miles.

The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed. There are numerous walks with breathtaking views nearby, plus a short walk up to Dunmallard Hill reveals fascinating Iron-Age remains, whilst the towns of Penrith and Keswick are within driving distance. Pooley Bridge is an ideal base for a cottage holiday stay in the stunning Lake District.
