Compact yet full of character, this thoughtfully arranged hideaway makes the most of its hillside position, with far-reaching views towards the Pennines and a lovely sense of privacy.

Inside, you’ll find a practical, well-equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster – everything needed for simple meals after a day exploring the fells.

The adjoining sitting area provides a relaxed spot to unwind with the TV or plan tomorrow’s adventures, supported by reliable WiFi if required.

Upstairs, the king-size bedroom exudes charm, framed by original low beams that nod to the cottage’s heritage, while a smart shower room completes the layout.

Please note, the staircase leading to the bedroom is steep, more akin to a ship’s ladder, so it suits guests comfortable with a traditional, quirky design.

Outside, the enclosed garden is a real highlight, offering a peaceful perch for morning coffee while keeping an eye out for red squirrels, deer or even a buzzard overhead.
