It is comfortable and well-situated but there are a few aspects that need addressing. The back yard is described as somewhere you could enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif but in reality, you would not wish to spend time in there in its present state. It is shabby, with litter in one corner, leaves in the grid and green mould on the flaking walls. It could be made quite presentable with a little effort. In addition, at least 2 drawers in the wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom are coming apart. Finally, the central heating comes on and off at seemingly random times. What is quite annoying is that these 3 points were raised by a previous reviewer just prior to our visit but had clearly been ignored.
We are disappointed to find the cottage has not lived up to the high
standards we have set. As you have said in your review, the issues you
raise are the same as those mentioned by the previous guest. A turnaround
gives us only a few hours and unfortunately this is sometimes insufficient
to time to address all problems. Once we were made aware of the issues we
made arrangements to have them addressed as soon as was practical.
