“On arrival a complimentary bottle of wine and box of fudge was waiting for us.”

What a lovely gesture! The living room and kitchen were so clean, the cutlery and pans high quality, ultra modern throughout. Upstairs, lovely thick carpets, good sized rooms and stunning bathrooms, one en-suite. We didnt want to leave this cottage! Lots of wardrobe space and drawers and everything provided from towels to hair dryers. Keswick was lovely and a perfect location for short trips around before returning to relax in the cottage. After going to Cornwall for the last 8 years I wondered what the Lakes would be like. I neednt have worried. We enjoyed every minute even when it rained the odd day. Thanks to the owners and Sykes cottages who kept us informed with emails on arrival and leaving the property. Highly recommended!

Just moments away from a range of fabulous amenities, Fryston Cottage combines original features with its contemporary interior, and is perfectly positioned to enjoy all that this picturesque region has to offer. Park up on-street outside of the property before making your way into your new home from home. Well-presented with high-quality facilities and pristine, marble-effect worktops, you'll find everything you need to cook up a storm in the kitchen, including an electric oven, gas hob, and dishwasher. Gather together around the wooden table which can seat up to six guests and tuck into a hearty meal, followed by a relaxing evening in the sitting room. Sumptuous, grey seats invite you to snuggle up among the cushions and choose a film on the Smart TV with Freeview or play your favourite tunes on the Bluetooth speaker, all while the electric fire gently warms the room. Alternatively, soak in the last of the evening sun with a glass of wine on the bench nestled at the front of this lovely dwelling. As the evening draws to a close, climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find two stylish bedrooms, a super-king-size with access to a spacious en-suite bathroom, perfect for a peaceful soak in the tub, and a twin with zip/link. In the morning, hang your towel on the heated rail and kick-start your day with a hot rinse in the family shower room before heading off on foot to explore your surroundings. A short walk from your doorstep will bring you into the heart of Keswick where the delightful streets are lined with a host of amenities, including high-street and independent stores along with a selection of delicious eateries. After satisfying your appetite, head to Keswick Museum to discover the fascinating history of the local area, or explore the quirky illusion exhibits at Puzzling Place; for those of you that have brought your clubs, be sure to visit Keswick Golf Club to test your swing at the 18-hole parkland course before ending your evening with a spot of live entertainment at the Theatre By The Lake. Thrill seekers can try their hand at ghyll scrambling or white-water tubing with expert tuition available at Keswick Extreme or partake in a session in paddle boarding atop Derwentwater. Keep the little ones entertained with a visit to Go Ape Whinlatter, an adventurous tree-top rope course, or those looking for a more leisurely day out can explore the former home of famed poet, Wordsworth, at the National Trust property, Wordsworth House. Embark on a two-footed adventure and explore the scenic landscape of the Lake District National Park, decorated in rolling hills, open moorland and of course, countless lakes; lace up your walking boots and tackle the climb to the summit of Skiddaw, towering over 931m and offering unspoilt views across this picturesque region. With plenty to see and do, Fryston Cottage makes for a lovely base to experience the Lake District.
