    “Think it was actually better than the pictures , really central , cottage felt like it had just been refurbished.”

This fabulous, Victorian mid-terrace property is positioned close to the lively centre of Keswick, in the ever-popular Lake District National Park. Twice a week, Keswick market is open and offers a chance to pick up local produce and gifts, while there also several quirky shops worth browsing. The charming Derwentwater is positioned to the south of the town and can be accessed via well-maintained footpaths. There are also watersporting opportunities at Derwentwater, including paddle-boarding, kayaking and canoeing. Avid ramblers will enjoy following many walking routes within the area, as well as other challenging hikes over high peaks, while the Cyclewise Whinlatter Bike Centre offers a chance to hire bikes and create your own adventure throughout Whinlatter Forest. Other attractions to tick off including catching a show at the Theatre By The Lake, the Castlerigg Stone Circle and the Go Ape tree top adventure in Whinlatter Forest, or explore the towns of Ambleside and Bowness where you will find many more wonderful things to do. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
