    “The house is well equipped with everything that you could wish for to make your stay enjoyable.”

    The owners have put lots of thought into making it a warm house you look forward to returning to at end of day. There were 6 adults in our party and we all had lots of space to do our own thing and no problem with parking for 3 cars. Only issue we had was with the window blinds which appears to be an ongoing problem, especially in one bedroom. It’s in a perfect location for town and walks and we will not hesitate to recommend to friends and we will return. The welcome pack much ...

The Nook is a superb home located in Keswick, a lovely Lake District town. It is a contemporary property that exudes elegance and sophistication throughout and would make a superb vacation home for families or groups of friends looking for a magnificent country escape. Discover a spacious open-plan living area with plenty of character thanks to its Velux windows and feature green oak beams lining the ceiling. This area is a great place to unwind in front of the television or gather with family and friends at the dining table for the ideal evening at home. Open the bifold doors in the summer and dine outside on your own private patio for a wonderful finale to each day of adventure. The sleek and trendy kitchen offers a variety of amazing gadgets for your stay as well as plenty of space for young helpers to get involved. The inviting snug with an alluring gas fireplace, is a perfect place to curl up with a nice book and enjoy some alone time, as well as a practical cloakroom, utility, and one of the three gorgeous bedrooms are all located on the ground floor. For those with limited mobility, there is a double bedroom on the ground floor with a TV and en-suite walk-in shower. On the second floor, there is a twin room that can be converted to a super-king upon request and has a TV and en-suite bathroom, providing a flexible sleeping arrangement for a range of group needs. When you can bring yourself to leave this lovely base, take a stroll into Keswick to find a variety of wonderful amenities and attractions; you'll find everything you need for a self-catered stay there, including food stores, shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as miniature golf, pretty parks, the renowned Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the alluring Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing, and fantastic mountain biking opportunities, providing something for everyone. The picturesque Newlands Valley and Bassenthwaite Lake are both worth seeing, while the lovely Derwentwater Lake is also close to the town centre. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
