“Lovely location and nicely done upside down layout.”

Kitchen had everything we needed and living room area was comfortable. Lovely bath and great hot water and shower pressure which I appreciated. Kitchen had everything we needed and living room area was comfortable. Lovely bath and great hot water and shower pressure which I appreciated. House was superficially very clean and smelt clean but cleaners clearly arent' given enough time to do a thorough clean as under beds had rubbish and dust, kitchen drawers / cupboards needed cleaned and bathroom floor needed scrubbed, (tiles were quite grubby in places), on wiping up a spill on stairs realised that floors were not very clean, touch areas of doors needed cleaned and kitchen walls need cleaned. Towels were clean and decent quality but bath mat was very off white and should be binned and replaced. Was acceptable but not as clean as I'd expect for the price and very disappointing given the 4pm check in and 9am check out (which is too early especially when asking guests to take all rubbish out, wash and put all dishes away and strip beds). There were about 20 mugs (in 4 different styles) with about 5 of them chipped but only 4 side plates and 5 bowls: kitchen crockery could do with a reinventory and refresh. Likewise the local information folder has lots of out of date fliers in it and its difficult to find key information (like when to put bins out) so the information folder needs refreshed. The wooden floors throughout are lovely and gives a lovely visual appear but they boards are very noisy. its not possible to talk upstairs / watch TV / use kettle or walk from bedroom to bathroom without disturbing those sleeping which will put us off coming back as light sleepers which is a shame as we loved the location and layout. Twin room was very comfortable and roomy, mattress in double room was less comfy and double room is very tight for space: Duvets were clean but it was far too hot: thick duvets in mid summer . It was an exceptionally warm week in the 20s but it was largely too warm to sit upstairs despite keeping blinds shut all day a few good quality fans should be added to the property. Laundry room downstairs seems like a bit of a wasted space and could be put to better use? downstairs dining / living room which could then allow the property to be disabled accessible if a ramp was put in at the back door and some adaptions added in bathroom which has ample space for these. The signs explaining that due to covid we need to strip beds to protect ourself and staff should be scrapped. I am happy to strip beds in the knowledge that this is to keep cleaning times (and therefore cost) down: but I find it annoying when businesses hide behind Covid to maximise profit. Overall we had a lovely week and the house met our needs but needs a schedule for deeper cleaning regularly: . However, this is an issue I find in most holiday lets managed by larger companies and this was no worse than others.
