The popular seaside resort of Allonby sits along a five-mile crescent shaped bay on the Solway Firth, offering a clean shingle beach on high tide but miles of safe sand in an endless beach as the tide goes out. The flat terrain is ideal for walkers of all ages and for dogs, and is also popular with windsurfers and kite flyers, plus there are beautiful panoramic views across the bay towards Criffel and the Galloway Hills of Scotland.
