“This was a lovely place to stay.”

The extra touches with milk sweets biscuits and prosecco was brilliant. So a big thank you for that. Almost everything you needed ( apart from a potatoes masher!!) the host was very pleasant to talk to. There were a few little things that needed sorting. A touch up of paint in the living room by the window and the garden really needed attention. But everything else was absolutely spot on. Well done to the host. But especially the cleaner. Many thanks and highly recommend accommodation.

The property

Lake View is a welcoming ground-floor apartment nestled in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, within the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Ideal for families or friends, this retreat boasts glimpses of Lake Windermere and a football table for added fun.

Arrive via the hill and park conveniently outside before stepping into a contemporary kitchen, complete with tiled flooring, wooden worktops, and a gas hob for culinary creations.

After preparing a delicious meal, gather in the living/dining area, where a glass-topped table seats four, and open the balcony doors to let the fresh Lakeland air flow through.

Once dinner is cleared away—thanks to the handy dishwasher—unwind on the royal-blue sofa with a film or challenge loved ones to a game of table football.

Alternatively, step onto the balcony to admire sweeping views over Bowness and Lake Windermere, especially as the sun sets in golden hues.

When evening calls, refresh in the bathroom before retiring to one of two inviting bedrooms—a double and a twin—both thoughtfully furnished for a restful night.

In the morning, enjoy the garden with your four-legged friend and make use of the barbecue for alfresco dining.

With the lake just moments away, spend your days paddleboarding or strolling along scenic shores.

Families will love The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, while Brockhole on Windermere offers zip-lines, archery, clay shooting, and mini golf for all ages.

After exploring the wonders of the Lake District, return to 8 Beechwood Close to soak up its elevated views and serene setting.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
