“A charming, cosy and well equipped cottage in a great location.”
We missed that no towels are provided for guests. Our fault of course, but in our experience it’s unusual and we could have done without the drive to Penrith to purchase towels. The bedding is getting a little thin and faded, the chair cover in the living room is crumpled and untidy and the soft furnishings and linens throughout are about ready to be replaced to improve the overall comfort and presentation. There was also a general feeling of clutter such as random items stacked in the corner of the living room surrounded by cobwebs which was not particularly inviting. All that said, we loved the location, had some really great walks, saw red squirrels for the first time and it always brought a smile to our faces to return to such a beautiful cottage.
