“This accommodation is excellent as it is clean ,well presented, well equipped and very comfortable.”

It is situated in a very quiet location convenient to Ambleside. There is ample room for parking and suitable outdoor furniture is provided for guests to enjoy the outdoors.

“Great time here.”

We loved the big windows and beautiful views. Loved waking up to a nice, light spacey kitchen for breakfast. Good walk into town - maybe not ideal with having a toddler who wants to walk but does not massively understand roads, as there are no pavements. Deffo like to come back - this is the first property in all my time in the Lakes that felt like a proper home rather than just a place to stay!

Very quiet location and even had a deer visit one morning. The DVD player didn't work but Lakelovers soon replaced it for us - excellent customer service! We will book again.

TV went wrong. 2 nights without TV Overall we enjoyed the bungalow. Cosy and within easy reach of town centre. Would book the bungalow again in the future

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Mount Sol. We are sorry you experienced issues with the TV in the main living room was showing no signal. We are glad our maintenance team could attend and restore the signal the following day. Regarding the pans, the owner regularly upgrades these and after inspection has replaced the frying pan as it was looking well used. We are glad to hear you had a great week in the Lakes. This handsome detached bungalow resides in a peaceful setting on the lower slopes of Wansfell, just a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Ambleside. From its gently elevated position, the property enjoys wonderful views over Ambleside to Loughrigg and the surrounding mountains. Location With its stunning backdrop of Windermere lake shore and Lakeland Fells, Ambleside is a beautiful place to spend a Lake District holiday. The village centre is full of character, scattered with attractive historic buildings but also well-served with contemporary shops and endless enticing eateries. Walks begin in almost every direction, and as Ambleside is a popular base for walking in the Lake District, you'll find route advice on hand in expert shops and Ambleside tourist information centre. Just a stroll away from the village centre is Waterhead Pier, on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. Enjoy a drink or a meal overlooking the lake at the Wateredge Inn, or take an elegant lake cruise to Bowness or Lakeside - a great way to explore car-free! Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly, and also offer evening cruises. Ambleside is full of history. The tiny 'Bridge House' is one of the most photographed buildings in the area; teetering on a bridge in the middle of the village. Ambleside also has a Roman fort, Galava. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
