“We really enjoyed our stay at Netherbeck, perfect location.”

Clean and comfortable with everything we could need for our family Birthday Celebration. Surprising how big the accommodation is inside especially the kitchen/dining area which is perfect for family gatherings and the basement TV room was a big hit with our 8 year old Grandson. All bedrooms are a good size but especially the King Size on the first floor with a very comfortable bed and the bed linens are extremely nice. Made such a difference having the Permit for parking outside the house there ...

Made such a difference having the Permit for parking outside the house there was just one occasion when we had to park round the corner. It was very useful having the washer and dryer too. Everything is on the door step just step out the door and many fine restaurants & pubs to visit and very central for lots of walks. Clear instructions on how to find the property and the key. We would recommend Netherbeck and would certainly think about staying in the future. Just a couple of points, it has been mentioned before that instructions/manuals for appliances would be handy to have and a couple of tiny niggles, one that the toilet seat in the first floor bathroom kept sliding off and the front door key became very stiff to use so much that we thought it was going to snap. These are just meant as helpful points definitely not criticisms as we had a brilliant time, Thankyou.

About the location

AMBLESIDE

Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
