The property

Admire the stunning surroundings of the Lake District at The Cedars, a delightful two bedroom bungalow near Ambleside.

The Cedars, located in a quiet location and a short walk from the town centre, offers spacious living for up to four guests.

On arrival at the property, head through the enclosed garden and up a few steps where you will find the front door into the kitchen, here you can kick off your walking boots, and cook up a meal for you and your guests in the well equipped kitchen, consisting of a fridge, freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a small table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast.

Settle down and relax with the open fire in the living room, a great space to enjoy a film after a long day of exploring the Lake District, or you can even enjoy some quiet time with a book in the conservatory looking out to the terrace and garden and beautiful views in the background.

There is a double bedroom with a wardrobe to store your belongings, and the second twin bedroom which can be a king-size if needed with zip/link features.

The bathroom is complete with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin and there is an additional WC located in the hallway.

When the sun shines, enjoy some al fresco dining or a BBQ in the garden of the property, surrounded by the stunning hills in the background.

The Cedars is conveniently located just a stroll away from Ambleside’s excellent pubs, restaurants and local shops.

Take advantage of everything the Lake District has to offer during your stay and visit the quaint villages of Grasmere, Rydal and Hawkshead where you’ll find even more must-see attractions.

The busy town of Bowness-on-Windermere is located a scenic drive away where you can fill your days with relaxing boat rides on the lake or on fun-filled tours of attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter and Windermere Jetty Museum.

Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
