    “The description of the cottage was not entirely accurate, as it did not state that the cottage was part of 3 cottages.”

    If this was made clear I probably would not have booked. However the cottage itself was lovely, but the chimney needs to be swept we could not manage the fire properly. Also the rug in the lounge needs to be cleaned.

    Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your recent stay at Fellside Cottage. We do not in anyway hide the cottage description, as you can see in the first picture it is an end terraced cottage. Also in the description we do stipulate 'a driveway leads to this select set of terraced cottages with parking right outside your door'. Sorry if this was not clear enough though. Although it is an end terraced cottage we feel it is quite secluded and private anyways, we hope you found this too. The owner has been made aware about the chimney and the chimney is cleaned annually. Regarding the rug this was clean but had to be removed by the cleaning team when the cottage was serviced on her departure. We are otherwise glad to hear you had a lovely week. Owner relations

We were overjoyed to find this truly romantic, traditional Lakeland cottage so close to the heart of Bowness village and retaining its charming original features despite a decadent 4 star refurbishment. Fellside Cottage is a romantic Lake District retreat if ever there was one; full of 'olde worlde' charm with eclectic nooks and crannies, and cosy to the point that you might not want to leave. The living room is straight out of a fairytale with old oak beams and warming woodburner, and the dining area ideal for a special occasion or a lazy breakfast with the patio doors flung open. Throughout bedroom and bathroom you'll find country cottage chic, stylish design and 21st century comfort where it matters most. == Accommodation in detail Just off the centre of Bowness village, a driveway leads to this select set of terraced cottages with parking right outside your door. Enter to the lounge with sumptuous furnishings, adorning beams and woodburning stove. The kitchen is set apart by a 'king post' beam and well-equipped with a breakfast bar. A staircase branches off at half-landing to the romantic dining / garden room with table for two and doors to the patio garden and pretty stone-built summerhouse. Upstairs to the chic double bedroom and designer bathroom. Unfortunately this property isn't equipped for infants/children. Location A holiday cottage in Bowness places you right at the heart of the most popular Lake District holiday destination. Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere and easily accessible from the M6, Bowness village is a friendly community of quirky shops, lively nightlife and a range of excellent Lake District restaurants. There's lots do in the village during the day, with hire boats, Windermere Lake Cruises to Ambleside and Lakeside, and expert outdoor equipment shops which are handy for picking up advice on popular Lake District walks. Windermere Golf Club is only a few minutes away. By night, Bowness has entertainment for every taste. There's the Royalty Cinema, the Old Laundry Theatre, and a host of pubs, restaurants and trendy bars - perfect for a romantic Lake District break. Located close to the famously scenic A591, Bowness is a great place to start if you're planning to explore throughout the Lake District. Head north to Windermere village, Ambleside, Rydal Water and Grasmere, or head south to Lakeside and the peaceful southern tip of Lake Windermere. Just outside Bowness and overlooking the lake, you'll find Blackwell Arts & Crafts House - an impressive building full of historic interest and commanding breathtaking lake views. The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated).
