    Interior faultless Exterior veranda had not been swept for some time acknowledge a tree on the veranda but twigs were everywhere on the chairs table top extremely dirty sun loungers covered with green slim from the tree including the veranda glass Barbecue had not been cleaned out for sometime The exterior let this property down big time

The property

Lakeside Lodge, a delightful single-story lodge, is conveniently located within the popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria.

With ground-floor living, breathtaking views, and a fully furnished kitchen, Lakeside 1 near the edge of Lake Windermere allows six visitors to enjoy a wonderful time in the Lake District National Park.

It is also close to a wealth of amenities.

As you enter the home, you'll find a pleasant open-plan living area with a beautiful view of the lake, where you can relax in front of the electric fireplace and watch your favourite TV shows.

Discover a variety of appliances to make your break easier in the kitchen and dining room, where you may prepare meals, refresh your holiday clothing, and dine with loved ones.

Before retiring to one of the three immaculately presented bedrooms, make your way to the enclosed decking area to take in your surroundings.

These bedrooms include a king-size master bedroom with Smart TV and en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, and a child's bunk bed, all of which offer plenty of storage and lovely views of the outside.

Enjoy a morning bath or use the overhead shower to refresh up before savoring breakfast outside with breathtaking views as your backdrop.

When you're ready to go exploring, head to Lake Windermere and try out some watersports before continuing to Queen Adelaide's Hill or Orrest Head Viewpoint where you can have a picnic and take in the scenery.

When you get to Ambleside, embark on a tour of Beatrix Potter's former house at the National Trust-owned Hill Top before exploring the area's numerous stores, eateries, and bars.

By car, you may travel to the lively town of Kendal, a well-liked tourist destination where you can perfect your swing at the Kendal Golf Club, explore the majestic Kendal Castle, or see a variety of creatures in the wild at the Cumbria Wildlife Trust.

BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE

Windermere Train Station 1.5 miles: Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 7 miles.

The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, cinema, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake. The area is ideally situated for exploring all that this region has to offer, whether by foot, bike, car, railway or bus; and is within easy reach of attractions such as the spectacular Langdales, Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top House at Far Sawrey, Coniston, Grizedale Forest Park, with its delightful walks and famous outdoor sculptures, mountain biking and 'Go-Ape' adventure park, Ullswater, Kendal, Keswick, stone circles, Roman forts and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike.

A travel cot and highchair are provided for you. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot.

Sorry, no dogs are permitted at this property.

Fallbarrrow Park management lock the entrance gates at midnight. If you are arriving after midnight, please call the night warden.

Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at this lodge.
The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.

There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £350 for this property.

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
