The property

The elegant living space forms a great retreat for families or friends. Sociable areas extend to both a sunny front terrace and peaceful rear patio garden. You'll enjoy views from all 3 bedrooms, but it has to be said the king-size master is a particular treat. Kids (or big kids!) will also be chuffed to find a great little upstairs den. As well as being convenient for attractions and entertainment in Bowness, and of course on Lake Windermere, Lingmoor is also a great base for walking. A wide variety of routes begin on your doorstep, and the property backs onto Brantfell - a fabulous route with fabulous views as you climb. == Accommodation in detail Private parking for 2 cars outside the property. Entrance hall with space for walking clobber, and leading to a ground floor shower room and WC. A few stairs lead to the open plan living and dining areas, with gorgeous chocolate leather corner sofa, woodburning stove and fabulous dining set up. The living space is flooded with light, and boasts both patio doors to the sun terrace and French windows to the rear patio garden. Large modern kitchen, also with access to rear patio garden. Another short staircase leads to the master king-size bedroom, double bedroom, twin bedroom, den and house bathroom with shower over bath. Location On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere and close to Windermere Golf Club, Bowness is a vibrant Lake District village with a wealth of attractions and appeal for all ages. The village has a contemporary shopping street, with supermarkets, delicatessens and everything you could need during a self-catering holiday in the Lake District. There are many family attractions in Bowness. From the famous 'World of Beatrix Potter Attraction', to row boats in the bay and mini-golf on the 'Glebe', you'll never be short of things to do with the kids. Windermere Lake Cruises also depart regularly from Bowness Pier to Ambleside and Lakeside - a great way to explore without taking the car. Lakeside is well worth a visit for families, as you'll find both the Lakes Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite historic railway to entertain you there. Bowness is probably the Lake District's liveliest spot for evenings out, and there are plenty of options for eating out in Bowness. For a stylish dining try The Postilion Restaurant. For a quirky take on tapas, try 'Lucy4 at The Porthole'. Or take your pick from a number of traditional Lakeland pubs serving real ale and hearty pub food. There are also a number of lively bars in Bowness, as well as the lake shore Wheelhouse nightclub.
