    “This is an amazing place to stay for a few days.”

    Accommodation is very comfortable, and really is as beautiful as it looks in the photos!!! Location is great too, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants etc, also the lake, lake cruises etc. Kitchen seemed very well equipped, although we mostly ate out so didn't make much use of it. Only 2 small things - there were no kitchen scissors which seemed odd. And there is no TV in the bedroom despite it being listed. I think this was mentioned in other reviews. But other than these - ...

The Stonecliffe Apartments

The Stonecliffe Apartments consists of an impeccable selection of four apartments resting in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria. This collection offers elegant interiors with a contemporary flair and lovely nods to the area throughout such as Herdwick wool throws and artwork, along with access to private parking and an array of the Lake District National Park's sights on their doorsteps. The building of Stonecliffe itself is a large, traditionally built residence which enjoys a prominent position in the heart of the Bowness-on-Windermere, making for an impressive getaway for couples and small families alike. Once a small fishing village, Bowness-on-Windermere grew in the 19th Century to welcome tourists and visitors mainly due its beautiful location on the shores of Lake Windermere. Today you can enjoy a cruise around the lake, or hire a rowing boat or kayak. The town itself has many things to do, including the World of Beatrix Potter, the Old Laundry Theatre, a small cinema and many individual shops, restaurants and bars. Across the water by Ferry to the tiny hamlet of Far Sawrey is Beatrix Potter's home, Hill Top and many lovely walks around the village of Hawkshead.
