“Yew Fold cottage is adjacent to the owners' home and was even better than the photos' suggested.”
We were welcomed by our host Caroline and the bottle of wine with a vase of fresh flowers on the table was a lovely start.
The cottage was spotlessly clean everywhere with very new, modern appliances ; plenty of storage space for clothes, shoes, cases etc. and was very spacous.
The kitchen area had everything we needed for our self-catering holiday with lots of cupboard space, new crockery, glassware, pots/pans etc.and a table & chairs.
The lounge area was very comfortable with a large comfortable sofa and flat screen T.V etc .
The decor everywhere in the cottage is lovely giving a light, airy feel and the bedroom has very good quality bedding, a comfortable bed and excellent lighting for night-time reading.
The bathroom was modern with a large excellent walk-in shower and hot water available at any time of the day which was a plus factor.
There is a little private garden area ( for your own private use )next to the cottage which has a table, chairs, BBQ with plenty of beautiful flowers which we used frequently as the weather during our weeks holiday was fantastic.
Yew Fold is in a lovely area , near a main road which made travelling to other places on the Furness Peninsular very easy and we enjoyed the beautiful countryside, quiet beaches and the nearby Lake District.
On leaving the cottage for home ,we overlooked a pair of walking boots and slippers which Caroline found and kindly packaged up and returned to us by post.
We can say that our stay was excellent and would gladly recommend Yew Fold to other couples and hope to be back again in the Autumn.
The only point I would make ( which is not a criticism in any way ) is that the cottage has a few steps up to the entrance door which might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
