“Woodland retreat was in a lovely wooded area of the park, and the position of the hot tub was great, very private with views of the trees.”

We saw rabbits, squirrels and an abundance of birds whilst sitting out on the veranda or in the tub. The lodge is very well equipped and everything we needed was to hand. We appreciated the outside cleaning materials. We were prepared for the poor onsite WIFI and brought a portable WIFI with us, but still had a few connectivity issues as it uses mobile signal to convert and that was not the strongest. This was the park’s issue though not the lodge’s. We used the onsite bar a couple of times which was quiet and we had no issues being attended to. The park is in a great position for exploring the central lakes with a bus stop outside the main entrance. Everywhere we visited was extremely dog friendly, even the cruisers on lake Windermere! All in all a lovely few days away, the dogs loved the secure outside area of woodland retreat and us hoomans managed to relax too. The cost was affordable. The only thing I think could improve the lodge was perhaps replacing the lounge carpet with a hardwood floor, it was unusual to see in a dog friendly accommodation. We would love to return in the future, thanks for a great short break!

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at woodland retreat. We have considered changing the carpet for hard wood floor, but a lot of guests like the warmth and cosiness of a carpet, but it is something we do think we will probably change at some point in the future, We hope to see you again soon Property Owner
