“The cottage is a beautiful cottage located in a great area that gives good access to the area, The owners really have tried to think of everything with a clear set of "instructions" shared prior to arrival so we knew what to expect and what we needed to bring with us.”

During our stay we found that we couldn't use the sitting room as much as we would have liked due to the sofas and chairs smelling really bad, this is clearly due to them allowing dogs but the smell of wet dog and urine on the sofas wasnt pleasant. The beds are clean and comfortable and the upstairs is well set out, our only problem was due to the proximity of the road, if the weather is hot as it was during our stay if you have the windows open you are woken by traffic at all hours, this is ...

During our stay we found that we couldn't use the sitting room as much as we would have liked due to the sofas and chairs smelling really bad, this is clearly due to them allowing dogs but the smell of wet dog and urine on the sofas wasnt pleasant. The beds are clean and comfortable and the upstairs is well set out, our only problem was due to the proximity of the road, if the weather is hot as it was during our stay if you have the windows open you are woken by traffic at all hours, this is not anything the owners can easily rectify but should be considered by people booking as we had a few restless nights. The bathrooms were lovely and clean, with hot running water which you would expect and clean towels were provided, but if you are on the larger side you may wish to bring a towel due to them being quite small ( my son and wife were fine). There is plenty parking down the side of the property and we had 2 cars parked for the week with no issues. There was a scheduled powercut one morning until mid afternoon, which wasn't communicated to us prior so we didn't manage to get our morning coffees/ wash etc. we found out it was scheduled by a resident who said it had been shared with property owners. if this information was shared it would have allowed us to prepare our morning better. The kitchen tap wouldn't shut off properly and was trickling on the cold water side which we shared with the property owner on our arrival, a plumber was scheduled after 5 days and this issue didn't effect our stay. The owners communicated the plumbers arrival with us and were very easy to deal with. Overall we probably wouldn't return to this property in the summer as having the windows open guarantees a disturbed night, and the soft furnishings in the living room definitely need a good clean for future guests.

Dear Mr Reader, we are so sorry to hear of your concerns, these are very rare. We will immediately share your concerns regarding the dog smell with our cleaners. As you say we reacted to the leaky tap as quickly as we were able to source a trusted plumber. Regarding the unusual very hot weather I am afraid this has affected us all. We are pleased you liked the furnishings, design, bathrooms and ample parking. Unfortunately the temporary power cut was advised through the letter box and not forwarded to us. Take care.
