“A lovely property set in a quiet hamlet near lamplugh.”

New, nicely furnished. Parking is good. We went with dogs and found the open plan kitchen, dining, siting area ideal. Could've done with a few more cleaning products in the kitchen area. The pub nearby, The Countryman, is good , about a mile but found safest to drive, especially with dogs.

“A very well finished new build property, very comfortable, furnishings and bedrooms.”

Fully equipped. An absolute pleasure to stay there, and only the short drives to some wonderful walking in the Western films. The pub is a 15 minute walk away and very hearty portions for a reward at the end of a good walking day.

“All I can say about this property is WOW!”

The property has been decorated beautifully, was immaculately clean and has everything you need to make you feel at home. The views from the front of the property are stunning . We loved coming down every morning to see the sheep and lambs in the fields opposite the kitchen. Our family of 4 and our 2 dogs stayed in this property and found it to have more than enough space for us all. The kitchen is lovely and airy. The kitchen was where we spent most of our time thanks to it being open plan, with a comfy sofa and doors straight out to the garden where we enjoyed sitting in the evening. Plenty of beautiful walks on the doorstep . We especially enjoyed walking in Buttermere and Keswick. We thoroughly recommend staying at this property and would book again when we return to the Lakes. “A lovely stay at this beautiful property placed in a quiet secluded area of Lamplugh.”

The home has a very homely feel to it and was kept nice and warm with the underfloor heating throughout the downstairs. Very clean & thoughtful touches throughout the home. Overall as an adult family we all really enjoyed our stay here exploring the Lake District for the first time.

“We had an absolutely fantastic family weekend break at The Elterwater Barn!”

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a spotless, beautifully decorated space that instantly felt like home. The house has everything you could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen to cosy furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to local attractions, shops, and restaurants. Fully enclosed back garden which was perfect for the dog and would have been wonderful to enjoy sitting in if we had visited in the summer. Overall, this rental exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

“Hi Rachel James Jess and Ivy here We stayed at the Elterwater Barn for Christmas for 4 nights We feel so lucky to be the first family in your gorgeous house as the barn was brand and we hadn’t booked anywhere until this on the 19th.”

This truly quaint Cumbrian village, complete with traditional Lakeland cottages and a village pub, is situated in a peaceful unspoilt valley.
