“This was a cottage in an idyllic location, particularly as we had two dogs, who loved the area.”

The sound of babbling water was a pleasure, and the clear skies gave us the opportunity to do some star gazing. The cottage had all the facilities we needed, although it was a little tired, and could do with some updating, including the furnishings and décor. Some of the pans were quite greasy and therefore I felt I needed to wash all cutlery and crockery before using. The rug by the fire smelt of damp dog, and my two didn't go near it. The bathroom was new and immaculate, and the sheets and towels spotlessly clean. An early morning walk around the garden lead us to come face to face with a deer - nature at its best, and made our break!
