“The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable.”

The owner kept us well informed regarding the water issue and plenty of bottled water was provided. Whilst there the gardeners and window cleaners arrived as did the plumber. Charming cottage and enjoyed our stay.

About the location

GARSDALE

Sedbergh 7 miles; Hawes 9 miles.

Garsdale is a small hamlet of stone cottages and farmhouses, nestled together with a village hall, church and chapel, resting at the foot of the dale alongside the meandering river Clough between Sedbergh and Hawes. Sheep graze on either side of the dale in this tranquil valley which is perfectly situated for days out in the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. The nearest market towns are Sedbergh, 7 miles to the west, and Hawes, 9 miles to the east, both of which retain their ancient character and traditions and are well situated for shops, banks and traditional pubs. With wonderful walks through the dale from the doorstep, and the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park surrounding you, this is an idyllic and peaceful setting for your holiday.
