Excellent resources in the house. Cleaning could have been better. Floors especially in bathroom required a lot more attention and cleaning. Downstairs front door requires a curtain or more privacy. You are unable to walk out of bedroom in morning without builders looking straight into the home. There was also a lot of noise from the building site from 0800hrs most days. I do not wish you to publish this as the later half of feedback will prevent clients from going to the property. The property in itself provided a lovely holiday home these other issues just need attention to prevent others staying at property facing the same issues.

The property

This luxuriously eclectic detached Lakeland residence occupies a sublime setting within woodland glade surrounded by 'tall trees' only a short walk from the shores of Lake Windermere alongside Storrs Park, known locally as 'Millionaires' Mile'. Please be aware that there are some building works being carried out next door to Tall Trees until Early 2021. The owner has therefore reflected this in their advertised rates for any disruption caused. For a holiday with 'wow factor' - this is a special place and one to spend your precious time together soaking up Lakeland's luxuries. Step inside and take pleasure in the outstanding contemporary features echoed throughout, a secluded country Lake District atmosphere blends effortlessly with 21st century life, where the infinity glazed accommodation really does bring the outside in - walk out through full length bi-folding doors onto the substantial terraced balcony or the large slate patio, here you can't help but fall in love with the setting! What a great place to unwind and enjoy al-fresco Lakeland life with direct access onto a maze of National Trust footpaths. Whether you are celebrating a happy event or just spending time with your favourite people, Tall Trees is a magical treat delivering sheer luxury and matching your high expectations. Enjoy the luxury chic bathrooms, sumptuous bedrooms, 21st century open plan kitchen and dining dining area fit for any formal gathering complete with doors straight out onto the terraced balcony and the relaxing living space with warming circular woodburner, all wrapped up in sophisticated technology, are but a few things to mention. This picturesque sleepy hamlet known as Ghyll Head is close to everything and surrounded by some favourite eateries including the very well known 'Masons Arms' at Strawberry Bank with bustling Bowness-on-Windermere being a short distance away. == Accommodation in detail A private drive leads to Tall Trees with ample parking right outside and the upside down accommodation can be accessed from both levels yet we will bring you in the lower level; entrance hall onto the oak flooring which is throughout complemented by sumptuous rugs and furnishings. On this level are the three bedrooms and three bathroom facilities; one king size with en-suite bathroom comprising bath and separate wet room slate monsoon shower facility; the second king size bedroom provides a free-standing roll top slipper bath and a separate luxurious monsoon slate wet room and lastly is the twin bedded room with en-suite monsoon wet room facility - sheer luxury and never any queuing! Also on this level is a useful utility room housing a separate washer and dryer together with a large American style fridge / freezer delivering ice on tap for your long drinks. Upstairs to what we call the glass box living, this has to be seen to be fully appreciated as all walls of glass admire the outside and with vaulted ceiling and sliding doors, this is a special place. Luxury furnishings, the contemporary wood burner, state of the art kitchen wrapped up in granite and access to the terraced balcony, substantial slate patio and garden leading into the woods - we think you will agree this is magical in every way. Although the property allows pets the garden and outside area is not dog proofed and is not enclosed. Please ensure Dogs and young children are supervised. Location This breath-taking property lies only a couple of miles from Bowness village - which is only 20 minutes from the M6 and just a few miles from Windermere train station. Bowness is a contemporary Lake District village on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake and one of the most scenic destinations in the UK for a romantic break. The village is alive with cafes and restaurants, as well as plenty of choice for a special evening out. There are handy groceries, supermarkets and sophisticated shops for leisurely browsing. There is a cinema, a theatre and even a lakeshore nightclub to guarantee you a lively night out if you want one! Stunning Lake Windermere offers all sorts of activities. You'll enjoy taking a sunset wander on the lakeshore or hiring a rowing boat for a bit of fun. Steamers run from Bowness Pier all year round, taking scenic cruises to Lakeside and Ambleside. A great way to explore without the car. You can also take a car ferry from Bowness to the west shore of Lake Windermere, where Beatrix Potter's magical countryside and the honeypot village of Hawkshead are waiting to be explored. Walkers will love exploring the paths and fells around Lake Windermere. For example, Gummers How is a short steep route to a viewpoint high above the Lake (well worth the effort!) and the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank, Bowland Bridge, is the ideal pub to visit for refuelling afterwards. If you are a serious hiker then many of the most spectacular and challenging mountains of the Lake District are within easy driving distance.
