“Absolutely fantastic stay - house was not only clean and tidy, but welcoming, well-maintained and had plenty of amenities to help us on our stay, such as a hairdryer, plenty of towels, ironing board and iron, vacuum, mop, etc.”

The bedrooms were spacious, contained roomy cupboards and nightstands, and the bedding was extremely comfortable. We had no issues whatsoever with getting a good night's rest. There are lamps in each room, as well as plenty of plug sockets also. The TVs in each room were also appreciated and allowed us all to wind down at the end of a long night. Both bathrooms were brilliant, clean and had towel radiators for usage. Lots of space for shampoos, conditioners, washes, etc. The shower was ...

The shower was especially great - good pressure and the handheld sprayer was also in perfect working order. No problems here! The living room was really the highlight for us, with a large TV, great sofas and a wonderful dining set, allowing everyone to comfortably fit and sit around as a group with no problems. Really nice layout. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and was more than enough for any of your home cooking needs, and the dishwasher was very helpful also. Large variety of pots, pans, cutlery and mugs and glasses, etc. The garden setup was lovely, and the kayak garage provided more than enough space for storage. We had access to a barbeque also, which was a plus. The house has plenty of skylights to allow for natural light to enter, so don't be put off at all by it being terraced. The house itself is right next to the shop, the chippy, and just a short walk away from the beach. The locals are wonderful, the weather is great, and the local pubs and bars were absolutely fantastic. Millom is only a stones throw away, and has more takeaways, a wonderful park, a larger Tesco, as well as other shops to visit. The lake district itself is also not that far by car, and we had no trouble with doing a quick trip to Windermere and back, whilst still having plenty of time left in the day to do other things. The owner was also wonderful, and we received some absolutely fantastic support in the lead-up to getting there, as well as checking in and checking out. You will have no problems whatsoever feeling like you're at home. Our only problem - not booking a longer stay!
