Popular with golfers and non-golfers alike the superb accommodation at Carus Green attracts visitors throughout the year who are looking for superb accommodation for family and friends. The Golf Apartment at Carus Green is located on the ground floor of a block of four luxury apartments. This characterful and superbly appointed apartment stands on the edge of the course over looking the first tee. Stunning picture windows allow the light to flood into the open plan lounge, kitchen/diner and guests can relax and dine on the patio on a summers evening. Presented with a choice of two bedrooms, a luxurious family bathroom, this is a welcoming apartment for couples, families and friends. In addition to the excellent golf facilities on site which includes a driving range, training academy and well stocked shop. The club house with its popular bar and restaurant offers meals, snack and drinks throughout the day. Carus Green offers easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales making it an ideal base for those who want to explore by car, bike, on foot or, of course, by golf buggy! Accommodation In Detail From the parking space the front door opens to a smart communal hallway and stairs. The Golf Apartment is located on the ground floor and guests step through the door into this bright and welcoming apartment. The open plan lounge, kitchen/diner has large picture windows which allows guests to enjoy the views to the golf course and the surrounding countryside and for the light to flood in. Comfortable leather sofas are arranged around the TV and French doors open to the patio with outdoor dining furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and presented and complemented by a family dining table. Choose from either of two pretty bedrooms, both can be presented with either superking beds or twin beds (please specify when booking to ensure that the bedrooms are correctly presented for your arrival). The bedrooms share a luxury family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. To the side of the property there is a locked garage which is ideal for the safe storage of mountain bikes, golf equipment and outdoor gear and this is also home to the washing machine and tumble drier. Private parking is available for one car within the garage, with additional parking available in the members parking area of the golf club. Location Teeing - Off in the Lake District........The 18 hole course is designed around the natural watercourses of the rivers Kent, Spint and Mint and the fells of the Lake District National Park and offers a challenging parkland course in addition to driving range, golf academy and golf shop. All guests are available to use the facilities and preferential rates are available during your stay. Complementary use of the club house is available to guests and their visitors and the bar and restaurant (serving food throughout the day) offers expansive views across the course and the surrounding countryside. Located only five 5 minutes from Kendal and only fifteen minutes from either the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales you'll find something for everyone. The Lyth Valley is located to the east of Lake Windermere, overlooked by the famous Lake District walks on Scout Scar and Whitbarrow Scar. The sheltered valley is famous for its damson orchards, which give rise to gorgeous white blossom in spring. The landscapes are scattered with country homes and rural Lake District cottages, as well as a choice of several acclaimed Lake District country pubs, such as The Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite and the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank. A romantic walk nearby is the ascent of Gummers How, which offers simply wonderful views of Lake Windermere from the top. The Cartmel Fell tarns walk is also a lovely afternoon's worth, starting at Bowland Bridge's historic church. The popular foodie villages of Cartmel and Kirkby Lonsdale are both within easy reach offering fine local artisan foods and award winning restaurants. Cross the valley and you are into the Yorkshire Dales and the Pennines with beautiful villages, rolling moors and cascading waterfalls.
