“4 pm check in is late as it is so when we arrived at 4 pm and the cleaner was still there we were disappointed and frustrated.”
We could not gain access for 35 mins, which was difficult as we had a tired and hungry toddler who was fed up of being in the car. We attempted to go to the one local pub but were refused entry as they were expecting bookings from five. Again, at this point it was probably 4.15 and there was one table occupied but the pub was otherwise empty. The staff member was rude too. I know this isn’t Sykes’ fault but you ought to know that the local pub is not hospitable. Overall we had a rough start. We were particularly disappointed with this as we’d paid so much for it. I also don’t think the property represents value for money, especially with the late check in and early check out. You could pay less and stay in better. Next time we will.

I fully appreciate your frustration at this, especially with a tired toddler. I'm sorry that you never received good servuce at the local pub also, that's a shame, especially as they could have welcomed you in for a quick drink while you waited.
