    “Location great.”

General condition of accommodation ok. Kitchen well stocked with all you need to cook etc. Peeling wall paper in one bedroom and holes in wall in main bedroom from where a radiator used to be attached to the wall. on last day stripped the bed as requested and the mattress was minging. Covered in horrible sweat/wee/not sure what stains. Felt gross as I’d slept on that bed for 4 nights. No mattress protection between mattress and bed sheet. Had plumber randomly trying to get in on first night ...

Had plumber randomly trying to get in on first night at 7pm (I’d not reported any problems and there weren’t any all week I was there) didn’t let him in as was staying on my own and didn’t know him from Adam. He said he thought the place was empty. General feeling is cottage ok, but needs some attention. Felt like owners couldn’t care less about the condition of the place as long as people are still paying to stay there. I have submitted a complaint with photos of peeling wallpaper/stained mattress.

Thank you for your feedback. We did try to contact you to inform you of the plumber’s visit. However, the phone number you had provided with your booking was incorrect. We did also then speak to you over the phone to reassure you whilst the plumber was there as you phoned our emergency number directly. You were satisfied at the time and we explained that this was a genuine visit. but as you weren’t comfortable we would reschedule. You said you were otherwise happy and having a lovely stay. Thank you for making us aware of the issue with the bedding on checkout, as this hadn’t been raised by our cleaners. All mattresses should have mattress protectors on them and we will look at replacing the mattress as soon as possible. Property Owner
