    “Pulling up outside of the property it looked lovely.”

    Walking in the front door, first impressions weren't very good. There was a huge cobweb on the windows at the side of the door and the other obvious thing that hits you is the black marks on the living room carpet. The next thing you see is the small chair which has numerous large liquid stains on the arm and the main cushion. Putting them negatives aside the rest of the cottage was lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was everything on hand that you could possibly need ...

The beds were very comfortable and there was everything on hand that you could possibly need. The cottage was dog friendly and there were bowls, treats and throws to be used. There is a small front garden, which is a lovely little sun trap, with table and chairs so you can sit outside with a brew. The only thing I would recommend would be a gate so the dog cant get onto the road. There was a folder with dog friendly walks which we used and found very informative. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Windermere 5 miles; Kendal 5 miles.

The thriving Lakeland village of Staveley is situated on the eastern fringes of the Lake District National Park and offers superb access to the whole region.
