“Coniston Number 9 was a hidden gem.”

Our only minor criticisms: the decking had quite a bit of bird mess from the overhanging trees. I swept it, but some had got onto the outdoor chairs and table, so we couldn’t use them. We visited in mid‑May after changeable weather, so it was right at the start of the season for sitting outside - as such I expect this would probably normally be taken care of.
We also found that the Henry vacuum couldn’t be used because the hose connector was broken. And finally, the visitor pack mentioned free EV charging via a connection point outside the door, but it was padlocked, and a sign inside said that connection an EV to the property was prohibited - so the information pack may just need updating.
These were all very minor issues and certainly wouldn’t put us off returning in the future.
Thanks very much for your excellent review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our lodge.
Appreciate you taking time to let us know about the hose on our Henry vacuum cleaner, this has now been fixed.
Regarding EV charging, the site did fit a socket for us a few years ago. Unfortunately the site rules changed, so EV charging is no longer permitted on site. We did have all references to charging removed from the website but forgot about the information pack in our lodge. That’s now been corrected - sorry for the inconvenience.
We are lucky to be surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. This does mean birds do leave an occasional mess. Our cleaners are aware of this and have been asked to clean any mess off the furniture, but the local wildlife has its own rules…
Thanks again,
