“On arrival we thought the lodge was very good.”
One of the reasons for booking this lodge was it was a smart tv so in the evenings we could settle down to a Netflix film or use the catchup facility
but the first night which was Friday it just wouldn't connect to wifi, my phone and tablet did but not the tv.
First thing the next morning we contacted the agents for the lodge,someone came around that morning but still no joy, they said they would contact the owner ,this was Saturday, by Thursday still no joy, that afternoon another man arrived, we were told yet again that they would contact the owner as he also said the remote control would not connect to the tv and it would most likely have to be replaced ,
so by the end of the week we had got nowhere.
I think when you do not have direct contact with the owner it is not good.
We also had some dog hairs on one of the chairs.
The double bedroom door would not shut.
The ensuite shower room door was jamming and very difficult to open.
We found the single beds were not comfortable,
the double bed was great.
The heating was great as the weather was very cold.
Had a nice week there, but on the long winter evenings it would have been nice to have more than a basic TV.
Thank you for your feedback and we have noted how poor and sketchy the wifi can be in pockets of the Lakes, so we have now installed a mini router into the lodge and have connected the smart tv, so everything is now working properly. Hope to see you again Property Owner
