“Wow! We’ve had the most wonderful holiday at Seahaven.”
(Myself, Hubby and our 2 grown up children aged 21 & 18 and our border collie) We arrived quite late and were grateful for the welcome cookies and selection of coffee/tea. The accommodation was as described with the added addition of an arcade game. We noticed immediately how dog friendly the accommodation was with the chest of dog beds/blankets towels, bowls, poo bags, tennis balls and even sticky rollers!! We had taken our own doggie essentials but was still very impressed with what was there ...

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed apart from a lack of tea towels. The log fire was a really nice addition to cosy up with a hot chocolate after beautiful scenic walks in the damp British weather.
The beds were comfy with plenty of pillows and an extra blanket on top of the duvet but it can get quite chilly so recommend taking slippers, pjs and a warm oodie. (We didn’t find a hairdryer so maybe take one with you)
For rainy days there are books, games and shuffle board although we didn’t make use of these but good to have.
There isn’t a lot in Allonby but it has everything you need, a cafe just a couple of doors away, Jacks surf bar across the road serving very nice fish & chips, burgers and roast dinners, a convenience store with nice ice-creams and the beach a 30 second walk away.
Our collie is a very nervous dog so we wanted somewhere quiet, where we could let him off the lead for a run and not have to worry about other dogs and people approaching him and this was just perfect for him. Hardly saw another sole and when we did they were very considerate.
We visited the aquarium with crazy golf and a nice cafe a couple of times, went for walks in the Lake District, shopping in Keswick (very nice cafe called No monkey business, if you like Trip drinks, zero alcohol and healthy teas, the French toast with strawberries, Nutella & cream was Devine and mucho mango cocktail with hot honey has a fiery kick to it)
Would 100% recommend, especially if you have a dog.
We are so pleased your family and four legged friend had such a good holiday staying at Seahaven. Thank you for your lovely feedback and you are more than welcome to come back anytime.
