    Such lovely Accommodation, we absolutely loved our stay at howhill farm, beautifully furnished, really comfy beds, Julie &Arthur were great hosts, so friendly & helpful, we loved meeting the dogs everyday & our Milo loved playing with them, we had beautiful weather, loved sitting out in the garden, loved seeing all the farm animals too, we will definitely book again,

With off-road parking and storage for boots in the porch, you will reach the property by passing through the lovely private garden and patio, an ideal spot for a coffee in the sunshine.

From here, you will be able to visit Penrith, where there is a golf course, selection of independent shops and eateries and access to the intriguing Brougham Castle.

The local area offers many scenic walks through the Lake District and the surrounding area including Great Sca Fell, Knott, Skiddaw, and the breath-taking Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve. Several great lakes are within easy reach, offering watersports and hikes through the scenery, including Windermere and Ullswater.

GREYSTOKE

Penrith 5 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

This charming village has a number of 17th Century cottages and is conveniently situated just 5 miles from Penrith. Set just on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park, only 5 miles from Ullswater and the numerous picturesque walks available make this a fabulous location for fans of the outdoors. Nearby, the popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering the Theatre on the Lake, a charming cinema, museum, indoor climbing wall and miniature golf. The area also steeped in history with a 10th century church in the village, lovely castle in Penrith and the stunning remains of Lowther Castle. Greystoke provides easy access to the spectacular Cumbrian countryside which can be explored by both car and on foot, and the southern Lakes, Eden Valley, Pennines Solway Coast and Hadrian's Wall all within close proximity, making this a great location with plenty to see and do.
