This self-catering penthouse apartment puts you in the very heart of historic Grasmere overlooking the Village Green. A quaint little village steeped in history, Grasmere was once home to the famous poet William Wordsworth. His home can be visited at Dove Cottage - part of the Wordsworth museum. Grasmere also inspired a number of well-known water colour artists, whose work can be seen in art galleries like the Heaton Cooper Studio.
Stocking up the kitchen is easy in Grasmere, with a small supermarket for everyday essentials and plenty of specialist shops to liven up your packed lunch.
