Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car.
There are several excellent restaurants in Bowness village, within walking distance of Lauron's View. The Porto Restaurant is a long-standing favourite for stylish dining and Jackson's Bistro, always a firm favourite while Bodegas & Sol, The Fizzy Tarte and Baha add a contemporary twist to the wide offering of bars with food options.
