Bowness village is a busier tourist destination, just a couple of miles away. The village revolves around the boating activity of Bowness Bay, where hire boats come and go, and Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside - explore without a car! Windermere Golf Club is located just outside Bowness village.
